URGENT: Repeat Medicine On-line Ordering

The practice will soon be moving to a new clinical system towards the end of April. We will be implementing the new system called ‘SystmOne’, this will be replacing our current system called EMIS Web.  We plan to be going live on SystmOne on Wednesday 21st April.

During the transfer, some of the services patients are able to access will be impacted and your support will be helpful during this period for a smooth transition.

The online services you use to order repeat medication will stop functioning from Thursday 8th April 2021 In readiness for this from 15th March when you order your repeat medication, we will issue two months prescriptions to last you over the switchover period (certain medications we may only be able to give you 1 month supply).

If you use the NHS App to access our online services you will be able to do so again after 21st April 2021. All other applications and websites used to access online services will stop connecting to the practice from 8th April 2021.

We strongly recommend that you register with NHS App to prevent any disruption on ordering your repeat medication. Guidance and access to NHS App is available by visiting www.nhsapp.service.nhs.uk/login. Here you can access online services via the website or you can download the app for your smartphone. If you cannot successfully login in to the NHS app, please let us know and will find an alternative solution for you.

If you require any further assistance, please contact our admin team on 01765 692 366 extension 33 who will be able to help you.

Thankyou for your support during this period.

Our Surgery is now using accuRx Patient Triage. This is an online consultation service that allows patients to contact the practice to ask for medical help, medical advice or for administrative requests.

In the midst of self-isolation due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), accuRx Patient Triage allows patients to contact their GP from home.

COVID-19 Vaccinations

We now have a developed vaccination programme with other practices in the area.

Vaccinations are being delivered according to priority groups identified by the Joint Committee of Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI). The vaccinations will take place at a vaccination service (led by GPs, practice nurses and community pharmacists) who are responsible for delivering the vaccine to people in your community. Our local vaccination sites are The Yorkshire Event Centre at The Great Yorkshire Show ground and Ripon Race Course.

When it is the right time for you to receive your vaccination, you will receive an invitation to come forward. This may be via the Text, phone, or through a letter either from your GP or the national booking system (the national booking system is a separate service to what the GP surgery offers).

We know lots of people are eager to get protected but we are asking:

For 1st vaccinations:

  • Please do not contact the surgery to seek the vaccine, we will contact you;
  • When we do contact you, we ask you attend your booked appointments;
  • Please continue to follow the government guidance to control the virus and save lives.

For 2nd vaccinations:

You will be invited between 10-12 weeks following your first vaccination. If you have not been contacted during this timeframe, please contact the practice on extension 35 or 39.

COVID-19 (coronavirus)

IF YOU HAVE a cough, OR fever, OR shortness of breath

Please stay at home. Please do not book a GP appointment, do not attend the GP Practice.

For advice please use NHS 111 online

Do not contact the surgery unless you are unable to manage your symptoms with rest and paracetamol

For more information visit:

During the Covid-19 outbreak we will be strictly limiting face-to-face appointments at the surgery.

Only attend the surgery if you have been specifically instructed to do so by a member of the team.

Notice to patients

If you have an appointment booked with a Doctor, Nurse or any other health care professional, patients are now asked to bring a mask to wear for their appointment.

You need to wear a mask at all times during your appointment. Wearing a mask protects yourself and others around you from germs.

It is important that we all do our part to keep everyone safe.
